  • Collect Newspaper assignment.
  • Read SCOPE magazine article about the Harlem Renaissance
    • Listen to sample sounds representing Harlem Renaissance
    • Read poems written by Toni Morrison and Langston Hughes

Team Typhoon Winter Fun Day!
  1. 1st Period Core Classes: Decorate holiday placemats that will be donated to local nursing homes; create holiday cards for bus drivers, secretaries, custodial and other "support" staff that often go unthanked.
  2. 2nd period: (same) Encore
  3. 3rd Period: (same) Encore
  4. 4th Period Core Classes: 8th graders will complete 12 Days of Christmas Math/Language Arts activity.
  5. 5th Period: (same) Lunch
  6. 6th Period: (same) 8th graders are watching "October Sky"
  7. 7th Period; (stay in your 6th period class)
